The Platt neighborhood was once separate from Denver and had a trolley that ran through the area. Since the turn of the 20th century, Platt Park has gradually become part of Denver and attracts new residents. Today, it offers a mix of bungalows, classic Tudors, and remodeled modern spaces.

Things to Do
There’s never a shortage of things to do in Platt Park! The Annual Festivals on South Pearl Street are great ways to mark the starts and ends of the different seasons. On the second Saturdays of June and August, come out and enjoy the Summer Music Festivals series!
June brings thousands of people to South Pearl Street to enjoy Brewgrass: an annual event combining bluegrass music and craft beers. Spend the afternoon sipping and singing along!
In August, you can check out Blues and Brews as well as HarvestFest. Each brings music, food, drinks, and fun to the area. In September, embrace German culture with Oktoberfest, and then look forward to December’s Winterfest!
South Pearl also hosts a weekly farmers market from June to September. Sunday mornings become synonymous with fresh produce, baked goods, and artisanal coffee and handicrafts.
South Gaylord Street is another spot that shuts down in the name of fun! Each Memorial Day, there’s a block party that brings live music, fine art, street painting, and other family-friendly attractions to the area. It’s the perfect kick-off to summer!
